We are committed to doing things the right way so the next generation of gamers can stay in the game.
For SteelSeries, winning in the future won’t just be about making the best gear but also making the right choices by people and planet at every step of the way. Building a sustainable business can’t be about chasing easy headlines or making superficial claims. As every player knows, there are some quick wins to be had, but getting it right will take concentration, determination, and epic amounts of effort. We believe doing things the right way is the only way to build a better future for gaming, for everyone, and for our planet.
Now, as part of the GN Group family, we have an even bigger opportunity to use our combined know-how and scale to do the right thing and multiply our efforts to deliver positive impact.
The UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development outlines 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to work towards a more sustainable future. GN Group is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and, as part of the Group, we aim to impact all the SDGs positively. There are four SDGs where Steel Series can make the most significant contribution to global progress:
We are passionate about our people and are working hard to create a more inclusive and diverse workplace for everyone who works for and with SteelSeries. We believe everyone has the right to feel at home and safe in their workplace and equality is essential to achieving this. We are working towards more equal representation across our organization as well as improving equity through the way we reward and promote talent.
Energy powers our business and our products. We are working to reduce our energy use and carbon footprint through streamlining our activities, buying renewable electricity, and increasing the efficiency of our manufacturing, distribution and products.
We have always set high standards for fairness in our business practices, and we work closely with all of our suppliers to ensure that human and labor rights are protected. Through our commitment to the UN Global Compact, we ensure we’re always holding ourselves to the highest possible standards.
We know it is important that we continually review and evaluate the materials and processes we use in our products. We are continuing to build a robust set of policies and practices, and now with the support of GN Store Nord (our parent company) we are accelerating this work across areas such as conflict minerals, responsible sourcing, and anti-corruption. We strive to uphold these standards throughout our value chain.
